Georgetown Jr.-Sr. High School students attended Wilmington
College’s Chemistry Night on October 22. The Science
Society, chemistry students of Wilmington College, conducted
demonstrations for the high school students, and then they
divided the high school students into teams for the lab competition.
Abby Bergren was on the winning first place team, correctly
identifying the chemical properties and demonstrating them
in the procedures of the experiment, “Invisible Ink”
Mike Wagner’s team came in third, identifying and demonstrating
the properties of their experiment ”Burning Salts.”
All G-Men who attend received one of this year’s Science
Society’s T-shirts. The G-Men’s attendance was
hosted by the “Achievers,” part of the school’s
Learn and Serve Ohio program.
